Adult Film will present Moonshiner by playwright Lillian Mottern, directed by Danica Salem, at a Private Studio Space in Ridgewood (address released upon RSVP). Running from March 12 - April 4. Previews begin March 12 for a March 14 opening. Moonshiner is a tour de force of nuanced characterization in a hyper realistic yet theatrical atmosphere. As the annual wildfires rage along the border of Los Angeles, three young women contemplate their futures and wage emotional battles from the rooftop of a stucco apartment building Adult Film is an NYC theatre company, film studio, and artistic training center founded by Ryan Czerwonko in 2022. We are a peer-led class company following our curiosity about what it means to be an American actor. Most company members come from a distinctly working-class background, and our values reflect that with extremely affordable training and tickets. AF is dedicated to collapsing the boundaries of theatre and film with a focus on acting itself, developing actors as writers and directors, and giving writers and directors a deeper understanding of actors. Our growing community is centered around the work, outside of the pressures of the commercial world, about mess, ambiguity, the dark side, bad behavior, creativity, possibility… the human condition. What better way to manifest the ethos of Adult Film than with Moonshiner. The cast includes Annalisa Hardin, Raina Soman, AJ Molder, & Megan Metrikin. The creative team for Moonshiner includes Mia Trubelja (assistant director), Lydia Riess (stage manager), Shane Hennessy (Lighting Designer), River Knight (Lighting Consultant), Liam Bellman-Sharpe (Sound Designer), Madeline Rostmeyer (Costume Designer) Moonshiner is produced by Hannah Hale
