New Orleans, 1969. It’s almost show time for Miss Blanche, the most popular female impersonator in the Quarter. Only tonight, Blanche is unavoidably detained. Instead, her nephew Lee takes the stage to tell his story of growing up as the only child of Stanley and Stella Kowalski. In a house of turmoil and secrets, the contents of a mysterious trunk offer clues about the past and possibilities for the future. Through memories and songs, Lee creates a new identity and reclaims his narrative.
