209 W 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036
New York, NY 10036
Diagnosed with dyslexia at a young age, Aakash misspelled his own name until he was 21. It wasn’t until he found the missing “A” that he felt he belonged. With mesmerizing projections and a stirring soundscape, this biographical piece of solo dance theater paints a triumphant and heartfelt portrait of neurodiversity, revealing the struggle of living in a world that’s not designed for you. Bodies and pages fly like flocks of birds—a murmuration, a Little Murmur, a movement more eloquent than words can express.
Under the Radar Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary with new dates and announces Meropi Peponides and Kaneza Schaal as co-creative directors, highlighting innovative and diverse performances.
