Mike Geffners Inspired Word, one of New Yorks most popular indie performance series, presents its 9 Year Anniversary Show Special. Hosted by poet Gemineye, who appeared in three seasons of HBO Poetry Jam. Featured Artists include singer/songwriter Ashley Wasser aka WASS, whose sultry indie pop sound, influenced by Lana Del Rey and Lorde, will give you the feels; performance poet Katharine Goerlich aka My Life in Yellow, known for her street art poetry and who will take you on a word journey through love, loss, and life; and the rousing Melissa June Band, a little rock, a little folk, a little country but a lot of soul, with vivid, heart-tugging lyrics and tight harmonies that will seem like the Indigo Girls, The Lumineers, and Mumford and Sons rolled into one.Produced by former journalist and Village Voice columnist Mike Geffner, InspiredWordNYC.com began in Jan. 2010.
