Dance Parade 2025 at street parade

The 19th Annual Dance Parade, that grand celebration of dance, returns Saturday May 17th with over 150 dance groups performing over 100 styles of dance, from ballet to breakdance, colorful floats, live bands, and you name it!! The celebration will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:30 AM at 6th Avenue & 17th St. Parading starts at 12 noon and will progress down 6th Avenue, across 8th St., and end approx. 4 PM at Tompkins Square Park, where 5 stages will be set up for more live performances, free dance lessons, partying and mingling. Along the way there will be brief performances by selected companies at the Grandstands at 4th Avenue & 8th Street. The 2025 Grand Marshals are Danny Tenaglia, Mercedes Ellington, Runmilayo Chesney, and David Parsons. New York's biggest dance event - and all free to the public.
