LOOSE CATTLE bring A Very Loose Cattle Christmas back to Hill Country BBQ for the 3rd annual edition of their beloved holiday hootenanny. Playing songs from their critically acclaimed Christmas record Seasonal Affective Disorder, complete with horn section and special guests, it's a rollicking good time for Cindy Lou Who's and Grinches alike. Garnering 3 out of 4 stars from the LA Times, and declared one of the "Ten Country/Americana Records To Hear Right Now by Rolling Stone Country, Seasonal Affective Disorder has been called fresh and timeless as a well-worn Willie Nelson album by The Big Take Over, much like that crazy uncle who constantly shakes up the holidays like his personal snow globe according to Elmore Magazine, and one your mama would probably treasure more than that new ironing board cover you bought her by Rolling Stone Country while Blurt Magazine dubbed it Best Holiday Album and No Depression declared it might be the best album of the season LOOSE CATTLE is an Americana band based in New Orleans and New York. Formed in 2008 by Michael Cerveris and Kimberly Kaye, the band arose from the duo's shared affection for the musical and emotional rough and tumble of Johnny Cashs duets with June Carter Cash, crossed with Xs John Doe and Exene. Cerveris is a West Virginia native and two-time Tony Award-winning actor (recently starring in Netflix's Mindhunter, Amazons The Tick, Foxs Gotham, and HBOs Mosaic) who served as a sideman for Hsker D frontman Bob Mould before launching his own music career. Kaye cut her teeth on the road, traveling the Warped Tour circuit as a member of a ska band before shifting her attention to roots music (with a recent detour directing and costarring in a wildly successful revival of Hedwig and the Angry Inch in New Orleans, garnering a Big Easy Award for her performance as Yitsak). Loose Cattle nods to their punky pasts and country roots while also showcasing their often-poignant punch as an alt-country band. According to Cerveris, Theres something about having a clear-eyed, borderline cynical eye on the world while dancing a country waltz with a big old heart on your sleeve that is the place where this band lives."
