Photo Flash: 'Next to Normal'

Second Stage Theatre continues its 2007-2008 with the new musical Next to Normal, featuring Alice Ripley, Brian d'Arcy James, Adam Chanler-Berat, Jennifer Damiano, Asa Somers, and Aaron Tveit.  With music by Tom Kitt, book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey, and direction by two-time Tony nominee Michael Greif.

Next to Normal will officially open on February 13, 2008 at Second Stage Theatre (307 West 43rd street).  Previews began on January 16.

"How does an almost average family navigate today's over-stimulated and over-medicated world?  In this darkly funny and haunting new musical, one suburban household confronts its past and its future.  With provocative lyrics and an electrifying score, Next to Normal explores how far two parents will go to keep themselves sane and their world intact," describe press notes.

Tickets are $80 and may be purchased by phoning 212-246-4422 or 800-766-6048 or online at www.2ST.com. Patrons under age 25 may purchase a limited number of specially-priced $25 tickets in advance. A limited number of student rush tickets are $15 and are available 30 minutes prior to curtain.
