For its 27th season holiday show, The Gilbert Theater of Fayetteville, NC, is putting on its stage a brand-new musical, only ever produced regionally in Pennsylvania: The Carols. The Carol sisters are struggling to put up their annual production of 'A Christmas Carol.' The problem? All the men in town are currently off fighting in WWII.

SEEKING
Actor/singers for Various Roles. See breakdown.
***Seeking versatile singers for three to four-part harmonies. Will cast soprano, mezzo and alto plus, and need legit voices that can swing, pop and rock out. Also a character baritone (exact range listed below) ***

PREPARATION
Please arrive with a headshot and resume, stapled together, as well as a Broadway-like or Pop Song to sing. Be prepared to read sides, if asked. Performers of all ethnic and racial background are encouraged to attend.

BREAKDOWN
Seeking
Lily Carol The middle sister, 20’s. The play takes place in her memory. Ability to tap a plus.
Rose Carol The oldest sister, 20’s-early 30’s. Ability to tap a plus.
Silvia Carol The youngest sister, twenties. Ability to tap a plus.
Miss Betty The caretaker of the VFW. Former burlesque star and current Scrooge. Late 40’s-60ish. Ability to tap/move well a plus.
Melvin Shaatz A Catskills comic. 40-50ish. Ability to tap/move well a plus. Character baritone who can hold harmonies- B2 - D 4 (low B to D above middle C). He has no sustained high notes
