Pleasant Valley Productions Presents Electrifying Production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Jesus Christ Superstar'

WEST ORANGE, NJ – June 19th, 2025 – Pleasant Valley Productions (PVP) is thrilled to announce its upcoming production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's iconic rock opera, Jesus Christ Superstar. Performances will take place at the Oskar Schindler Performing Arts Center (OSPAC) in West Orange, New Jersey, from July 11th, 12th, 17th, 18th and 19th at 8:00PM

This groundbreaking musical, which revolutionized the world of theatre, tells the story of the final week of Jesus' life through the eyes of Judas Iscariot. With a legendary score that includes "Gethsemane," "I Don't Know How to Love Him," and "Superstar," the show explores the personal struggles and political machinations leading to the crucifixion, all set against a backdrop of electrifying rock music.

It’s a story about the now: about a world desperate for change, a leader trying to cut through the noise, and the people around him — struggling to understand what he stands for, and whether they can keep up. It challenges the audience to look at a familiar piece of theater with a fresh perspective.
