A Segal Centre presentation of a Dora Wasserman Yiddish Theatre production, this play with music is written by Sharyn Rothstein with original music and songs by Joel Waggoner, based on the film by Joan Micklin Silver and the novella Yekl by Abraham Cahan. Set in 1890s New York, the production explores the immigrant experience, examining identity, ambition, and survival in a rapidly changing world.
