Despite the countless stage renditions and award-winning film adaptation, CHICAGO is still able to jazz up audiences with that old "razzle-dazzle" sass, sharp-witted satire, and boudoir scandal. The musical, starring Tracy Shayne, Terra C. MacLeod, and John O'Hurley, debuted at the Ordway Theatre on August 7.

Twin Cities favorites Nathan Keepers (Estragon) and Jim Lichtscheidl (Vladimir) take on the leading roles in The Jungle Theater's WAITING FOR GODOT, Samuel Beckett's "tragicomedy in two acts," widely considered one of the most significant plays of the 20th century. Artistic Director Bain Boehlke directs the duo who play two old friends debating the meaning of life and the absurdities of human behavior in this funny, captivating and illuminating production. Allen Hamilton (Pozzo) and Charles Schuminski (Lucky) round out the cast.

The Guthrie Theater today announced casting for the Pillsbury House Theatre and The Mount Curve Company co-production of The Brothers Size- described as 'an exuberantly theatrical drama from one of the country's most exciting new voices that weaves together brothers, the bayou, and African mythology to create a stylized story of love and heartache.' Written by Tarell Alvin McCraney and directed by Marion McClinton, The Brothers Size will be performed in the Guthrie's Dowling Studio from September 7-29, 2012.

Minnetonka Theatre is celebrating 10 years under the Artistic Direction of Kent Knutson, director of both the theatre's high school and community branches, with a remount of their fan favorite production, All Shook Up! Alumni cast members were invited back to be a part of this Elvis inspired musical, first presented by Minnetonka High School in 2009. Running from tonight, July 20 to August 4 on the Arts Center on 7 Main Stage, it is also a follow up to last winter's sold-out hit, The Sound of Music.

Overall, the forecast for The Sunshine Boys is clear and breezy. Audiences can expects sunny laughter, clear plotlines and gusts of slapstick. With a chance of a light drizzle (if you're not into hardy-har-type comedy) this show is daffy and fun.

Chanhassen Dinner Theatres is adding two new sessions of theatre camps for kids and teens the week of August 6 through 10. The morning session is for youths aged 8-12 and runs from 9am to noon and the afternoon session is for teens aged 13 - 18 and runs from 1-4pm.

The Guthrie Theater currently presents The Sunshine Boys-acclaimed Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and screenwriter Neil Simon's sidesplitting comedy. Directed by Gary Gisselman (Guthrie: A Christmas Carol, Lost in Yonkers), The Sunshine Boys features veteran actors Peter Michael Goetz and Raye Birk as Willie Clark and Al Lewis, respectively, a pair of crabby, retired vaudeville comedians persuaded to reunite after 11 years apart-despite the fact that they hate each other. Illusion Theater's FRESH INK Set for Now thru 7/29

Fresh Ink, Illusion's annual summer series focusing on new scripts, gives space for artists to develop their creative pieces and try their works-in-progress in front of audiences. For three weekends this month, emerging and established playwrights explore new ground, with a different play on stage each weekend. Now in its 25th year, Fresh Ink has presented more than 120 plays, with many going on to become full-length productions.
