The USM Spring Dance Concert showcases new works by five choreographers, performed by twenty USM dance students from April 25 to 27 at Russell Hall on the Gorham Campus. Directed by Jessie Laurita-Spanglet, alongside faculty Maria Tzianabos and Vanessa Beyland, and guest choreographers Tristan Koepke and Emma Tomkins, the concert highlights the engaging culture of dance at USM. Each piece draws from diverse influences, with Laurita-Spanglet's work focusing on increasing accessibility through Audio Description for dance. This event marks the department's second annual concert, emphasizing collaboration and the unique relationship between choreographers and dancers.
