What is the worst thing a woman can do to a man and a man to a woman? Some crimes - they say - is too horrible to be forgiven, but what if the person you hurt most in the world at the end turns out to be the only account that can save your life? Is that love can prevail even though terrible things have been done for us and we too often?
In Purgatorio, Ariel Dorfman sends his characters he calls simply "The Man" and "Woman" in an antiseptic white room, a place resembling a penitentiary, a sanatorium or perhaps a beyond where they should accountable for their lives and their crimes. However, in this place means there is no god service to mediate the battle, just a couple of cameras that may - or may not work.
