A representative American family at home: husband, wife, son and dog. And then death. - In George Tabori's death on the evening news appeared in many guises: as a plumber, as Cookie Monster, as Dr. Liptauer, as the boss Goldwin, as blues singers, and also as a bodyguard in the form of women's Gloria and Irene. He is sometimes angry, often unpredictable, always (TOD) funny.
Because George Tabori has written a comedy about death and how people (not) to deal with it. Tabori laughs at you truly "to death", and even death by disease devotee retains his sense of humor until the very end. In the end, he leaves a "symphonic fart".
The title refers less to the evening news nightly news television program, but rather a retrospective life just before the finish. And the falls are sobering: The family is suffering on himself, the man from his illness, the woman at her loneliness, the son of his depression, the dog on the incomprehension of the world. And the audience has fun while delicious!
