Ian Anderson—the flute and voice behind the legendary band Jethro Tull—celebrates his 48th year on stage with a new concert tour. This performance at the Harris Center is quasi-operatic in structure—all the better to tell the tale of the original Jethro Tull. An 18th century English agricultural inventor, Jethro Tull’s life is re-imagined through some of Tull’s best-known songs, plus newly written music that helps round out the story. Jethro Tull, the band, has released 30 recordings, selling more than 60 million copies; joining Mr. Anderson will be David Goodier, John O’Hara, Florian Opahle, Scott Hammond, and some surprise virtual guests.
