Tesseract is a staged reading festival presented by New Art City Theatre, featuring four plays selected from 364 nationwide submissions. Each play receives two readings per day, followed by audience talkback sessions with the writers and actors. The finalists are The Henry Clyde Canning Murder House by Christian Missonak, Laughing Matter by Rob Ulin, John Dillinger Gets a Manicure by Elise Forier Edie, and Tesseract by Scott C. Sickles. Each reading is directed by professional directors and performed by actors from the Los Angeles and Ventura area.
