New Art City Theatre presents Laughing Matter, a festival of four original staged readings selected from 364 nationwide submissions. Featured works include The Henry Clyde Canning Murder House by Christian Missonak, Laughing Matter by Rob Ulin, John Dillinger Gets a Manicure by Elise Forier Edie, and Tesseract by Scott C. Sickles. Each reading is guided by professional directors and performed by actors from the Los Angeles and Ventura area, with audience talkback sessions following each performance offering the chance to meet the writers and actors. Readings take place June 18-20 at 2pm and 7pm, and June 21 at 2pm and 5pm at Knights of Columbus Hall in downtown Ventura.
