New Art City Theatre presents four staged readings selected from 364 nationwide submissions, running June 18-21 at Knights of Columbus Hall in downtown Ventura. The finalist plays are The Henry Clyde Canning Murder House by Christian Missonak, Laughing Matter by Rob Ulin, John Dillinger Gets a Manicure by Elise Forier Edie, and Tesseract by Scott C. Sickles. Each reading is guided by professional directors and performed by actors from the Los Angeles and Ventura area, with audience talkback sessions following each performance. Admission is free.
