Like It Like Harlem celebrates the rich musical heritage of East Harlem, where mambo, salsa, and boogaloo intersected to create iconic hits such as “I Like It Like That” and “Oye Cómo Va.” This performance, led by MUSE/IQUE Artistic Director Rachael Worby, pays tribute to legendary artists like Tito Puente and Celia Cruz, highlighting the cultural renaissance that emerged in the mid-20th century with the arrival of Puerto Rican and Cuban communities. Audiences will experience a vibrant reflection on how music expresses community pride and resilience.
