A Landmark Lesbian Romantic Comedy. Two Latinas One American and One Cuban in a hurricane of Lust, Love and Other Devastations. Love Struck is a romantic comedy about a candid look into the ups and downs of a relationship regardless of the sexuality of the couple involved. It's the universal language of the heart. Who has not been Love Struck and who's heart has not been broken.
We never get a sense of what draws these two women to each other (other than sex), or what they have in common other than auditioning for acting work. Nor do we witness them falling in love, which makes it difficult to care whether or not their relationship succeeds.
Macha Theatre/Films will present LOVE STRUCK at the Odyssey Theatre in Los Angeles as a visiting production. The play, written by Odalys Nanin and Marie Barrientos, will run April 24 through May 3.
