Dragon Mama is the Los Angeles premiere written and performed by Sara Porkalob, marking the second part of The Dragon Cycle. The story follows Maria Porkalob, Jr. as she grapples with an unexpected opportunity for freedom that challenges her responsibilities to her family in Bremerton, WA. Infused with Filipino gangsters, ghosts, and a vibrant '90s R&B soundtrack, this solo show explores themes of resilience, queer love, and the pursuit of home. Directed by Andrew Russell, this production promises a raw and humorous narrative.
