It's a brand new year at Bay Street Theatre and a brand new 22nd season has just been announced! Three hilarious shows have been chosen for this year's Mainstage Season. The shows are LEND ME A TENOR, by Ken Ludwig; directed by Don Stephenson (May 28 - June 23), THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP by Charles Ludlum; directed by Kenneth Elliott (July 2 - 28) and A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, directed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge; book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.

On Tuesday, February 5, Richard T. Dolce, Producing Artistic Director and Co-Owner of the John W. Engeman Theater and Kevin J. O'Neill, Managing Director and Co-Owner of the John W. Engeman Theater presented a check to John Miller, CEO of the American Red Cross on Long Island with money they raised to help in the Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

The Minstrel Players Theatre Company of Northport Village kick off their 2013 Season with a Spring production of Tim Kelly's classic comic murder mystery, "The Butler Did It, Again!". They are coming off their successful annual holiday production of "A Christmas Carol". Performances will be over two weekends only on Saturday, April 27th and May 4th at 8 P.M. and Sunday, 3 P.M. matinee performances on April 28th and May 5th at Houghton Hall - Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 Main Street in scenic Northport Village.

Glen Cove, N.Y. resident Frederick Stroppel, author of nine collections of full-length plays and one-acts, many of which have been performed in New York and internationally, has chosen Long Island's Bare Bones Theater Company for the world premiere of Dead of Night, an evening of two one-act plays of macabre humor and suspense. There will be eight performances, beginning tonight, February 1, and continuing through February 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 15 and 16, 2013, at 57 Main Street in Northport, NY.

Bay Street Theatre has announced its upcoming February School Vacation Kids Camp, February 18, 19 and 20. The camp is for students age 8 through 12, and runs from 9am - 3 pm each day at the Bay Street Theatre. Cost is $255 for the three-day camp per child.

She soon discovers she's harboring a dangerous prize and that he'll try anything to get it. The production is currently in previews at the John W. AVENUE Q, the bawdy and downright naughty Tony Award-winning musical by Robert Lopez, Jeff Marx, and Jeff Whitty opens at the State Theatre located at 109 N. Bay Street in downtown Eustis January 25 and will run through February 17. Called "one of the funniest shows you're ever likely to see" by Entertainment Weekly, AVENUE Q features a cast of humans and puppets who tell a story about trying to make it in New York City with big dreams and a tiny bank account. This production is directed by Joel Warren, director of BSP's Second Stage Series. John deHaas is the musical director, and choreography is by Amanda Warren. AVENUE Q is generously sponsored in part by Kevco Construction Group.

It was another eventful night at Northport's stunning John W. Engeman Theatre as they hosted their ongoing Broadway Concert Series. Per tradition, during their dark week between shows, Producer and Host Stephen DeAngelis rounds up Broadway's best for an evening of songs and stories about their lives and careers. The incredible line up this time included Chester Gregory, Tari Kelly, Caissie Levy, Jessica Phillips, Rashidra Scott, and a special appearance by Tad Wilson.
