Adam Pascal will be returning to New York from shooting RENT to perform live at the Knitting Factory on December 29th at 8 p.m.

Pascal, who soft-launched the release of his new album "Civilian" in November, recently played to sold-out crowds at "Joe's Pub." Fan and industry demand for more shows made his return to New York imminent.

"Civilian" is a return to traditional rock-and-roll, with influences from Jon Bon Jovi and Sammy Hagar to Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. He credits newer bands such as Jet and Muse with influencing the energy he wants to put forth in his music. Still, Pascal's main influence on the music has never wavered. The music and lyrics on this album are reflective of a time in his life when his children were being born into a world faced with the tragedy of September 11th and everything that has happened since then.

About The Band: The album was co-produced with Glenn Sherman, his lead guitarist, who also collaborated on several songs, and his keyboard player, Broadway Music Director Jim Abbott. Rounding out the band are well known musicians Winston Roye on bass and Gary Seligson on drums and percussion.

From the time he was plucked from relative obscurity playing in dive bars on the Lower East Side and Long Island to starring in the Broadway musical RENT and now the major motion picture, Adam has maintained a loyalty to his rock roots. Adam Pascal's original music is not Broadway inspired. His music will always have a true rock-and-roll voice although Pascal enjoys being able to seamlessly move between the two.
