Martin Lynch’s Chronicles of Long Kesh is the hilarious, painful and shocking story of Northern Ireland’s infamous prison - Long Kesh - told through the eyes of prison officers, Republicans and Loyalists, a rich assortment of patriots, chancers, leaders, wives, escapers and hypochondriacs!
A huge crowd-pleaser, full of 1960’s Motown songs and wild, irreverent humour! Commissioned and produced by Green Shoot Productions, under the direction of Lisa May and Martin Lynch with an outstanding 6 member cast, Chronicles of Long Kesh received its world premiere in January 2009 at the Belfast Waterfront Hall Studio Theatre.
It was the smash-hit of the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe Festival where it won the Best Ensemble Award from London’s The STAGE Magazine Awards.
