A Part of Passion shows the importance of patience and fortitude in dealing with life’s problems. In this performance, Danang Pamungkas will use minimal properties; wearing normal daily clothes is one of the examples.
Danang Pamungkas is a Solo-based dancer and choreographer. He studied dance formally at SMKI Surakarta and STSI Surakarta, and also actively practiced the Mangkunegaran dance style at the Mangkunegaran Palace, Surakarta. In 2008 he was chosen to participate in a workshop with Lin Hwai-min from the Cloud Gate Dance Theatre (Taiwan). He also composed several dance choreographies, such as Beat (2012)—for which he was granted an art grant for Innovative Works from Yayasan Kelola. Meanwhile, Spring in Solo (2002) was his collaborative work with Pappa Tarahumara (Japan).
