Broadway Theatre League announces the 2010-2011 Broadway series at the Morris Performing Arts Center. In 2010-11, the Broadway Series creates all new memories with classics A CHORUS LINE and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, and South Bend premieres THE COLOR PURPLE and LEGALLY BLONDE. Season ticket packages, which include all four nationally-touring Broadway favorites, start at $90, and will be available June 7 and can be purchased by calling 574.235.9190 or by visiting the Morris box office.

The Broadway Series begins with Tony Award ® and Pulitzer Prize winning musical A CHORUS LINE, November 5-6, 2010. On a bare stage, in an empty theater, 17 dancers put it all on the line for a chance at a Broadway show. From hysterical to heartbreaking, these performers share their stories, dreams and fears all in an effort to get the job.

Next, Broadway Theatre League presents the classic tale of love, laughter and tradition. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF takes the stage January 14-15, 2011. The story centers around Tevye, who struggles to maintain a sense of tradition and family in a changing world. FIDDLER won nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and is considered a classic of American Musical Theater.

March 18-19, 2011 brings the premiere, A COLOR PURPLE. This Tony-nominated musical is based on the Pulitzer Prize winning novel by Alice Walker and the Academy Award® Winning film by Steven Spielberg. It is the unforgettable and inspiring story of a woman named Celie, who finds the strength to triumph over adversity, and discover her unique voice in the world. With a joyous GRAMMY®-nominated score featuring gospel, jazz, pop and the blues, THE COLOR PURPLE is about hope and the healing power of love.

The 2010-2011 Broadway Series at the Morris concludes with LEGALLY BLONDE, April 29-30, 2011. Based on the hit 2001 film starring Reese Witherspoon, LEGALLY BLONDE follows sorority girl Elle Woods from the boutique to the courtroom and proves that being true to yourself never really goes out of style. This is Broadway escapism at its best. Spend two hours with Elle and the cast of LEGALLY BLONDE and be guaranteed to walk away smiling. This is the show the New York Post called "An Awesome Wattage of Girl Power!"

The performance schedule of the 2010-2011 Broadway Series at the Morris is as follows:

A Chorus Line November 5-6, 2010
Fiddler On The Roof January 14-15, 2011
The Color Purple March 18-19, 2011
Legally Blonde April 29-30, 2011

Curtain is at 8:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday evening and at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
