A New Production in a new Theater, Zilkha Hall, Hobby Center!
This summer will feature a fully staged version of Trial By Jury for the first time in a dozen years, starring Alistair Donkin as the Learned Judge. In this one-act judicial romp, a jilted bride seeks justice from her former fiancé, a cad she'd be better off without!
But that's not all, as the Society is excited to present scenes from not one, not two, but three G&S operas. These semi-staged excerpts will include dialogue and a selection of favorite songs:
The Pirates of Penzance, including "Poor wand'ring one", "When the foeman bares his steel", and the Major General's Song.
Iolanthe, including "Tripping hither", "Oh foolish fay", and the Nightmare song.
Yeomen of the Guard, including "Is life a boon?", "Tower warders", and the Act I Finale.
You no longer have to wait ten years for the Society to perform these operas again; enjoy favorites from all three of them in one evening! Combined with Trial By Jury, this surely is a Treasure Trove of G&S!

This summer's performance takes place on July 20 - 22, with both Saturday and Sunday matinees.
