SEEKING:

LEADING PLAYER: The ultimate 'ringleader.' Masterfully charming and manipulative, the Leading Player is a chameleon of sorts. Guides Pippin through his own story and tries to intervene at the end. An excellent dancer. Obsessed with putting on a great show for the audience. Gender // Any. Vocal range top // Ab4. Vocal range bottom // Db3.

PIPPIN: Our story's young and confused protagonist. He is longing to find his purpose in life. Naive, innocent, and discontent. Eventually finds love, and meaning in life, with Catherine and Theo. Gender // Male/Non-binary. Age // 18 to 21. Vocal range top // Ab4. Vocal range bottom // G2.

CHARLES: Pippin's demanding father. As the King of the Holy Roman Empire, Charlemagne is more comfortable wielding a sword than breaking bread. He wears his years with great pride. Gender: Male/Non-binary. Age // 50 to 60. Vocal range top // E4. Vocal range bottom // G2.

FASTRADA: Pippin's conniving stepmother. A seductress, who is no stranger to deceit and betrayal, she is both sexy and smart. Skilled at using her sexual appeal to benefit her and her son. Gender // Female/Non-binary. Age // 35 to 45. Vocal range top // F5. Vocal range bottom // A3.

BERTHE: Pippin's saucy grandmother. A brassy broad full of wisdom, grace, and sass. She tries to help Pippin and encourages him to live his life to the fullest. Gender // Female/Non-binary. Age // 60 to 70. Vocal range top // C5. Vocal range bottom // E3.

CATHERINE: A widow and mother. She is a beautiful and a hopeless romantic, who possesses graceful elegance. Encounters Pippin at his lowest point and eventually falls in love with him. Gender // Female/Non-binary. Age // 23 to 35.

LEWIS: Pippin’s half-brother. He loves the limelight. Gender: Male/Non-binary.

THEO: Catherine’s son. Gender: Male/Non-binary.

ENSEMBLE: Charlemagne Army, Monks, Nobility, Peasants, The Players.

Requirement for proof of vaccination/negative test.

Everyone entering the audition venue (i.e., venue employees, Equity members, nonmembers, casting personnel, creatives, producers, musicians, COVID Safety Managers, etc.) will be required to undergo a symptom check and provide one of the following prior to entry into the venue:

Proof of full vaccination. “Fully vaccinated,” as defined by the CDC, is more than 14 calendar days following receipt of a final dose of an FDA or World Health Organization authorized or approved vaccine. (OR)

Proof of a negative PCR test result taken no earlier than 48 hours prior to entry into the audition venue. (OR)

Proof of two negative antigen test results (e.g., the first taken the night before and the second taken no less than 2 hours) prior to entry into the venue.

Two-ply cloth face masks, surgical masks, singer’s masks and respirators (N95, KN95 or KF94) will be allowed for face coverings. Single-ply face masks, gaiters and bandanas are not acceptable face coverings. Everyone in the holding room and audition room will always wear a face covering as described above, except for the actor when they are actively auditioning. The time spent unmasked should be as minimal as possible. Face coverings must be worn correctly (covering the nose and mouth). If the risk level for Marietta is trending upwards and may rise to High (Red) we will contact members with appointments at least 24 hours before the first audition appointment time to let them know there is a chance that the auditions Revised March 14, 2022 may need to be postponed or cancelled. All members with appointments will be notified if the auditions must be postponed or cancelled. (See “Community Risk Level” below.)

We encourage members to prepare for their audition at home, to the extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and dressing rooms.

The audition room is 2600 square feet and can accommodate no more than 26 individuals at a time.

The holding room is 864 square feet and can accommodate no more than 24 individuals at a time.
