BREAKDOWN

Some roles may be understudied.

CAROL FLEISCHER, 39, Carol knows what she wants and knows she deserves it. She’s built a nice life but dreams of a better one. Carol has a “In this house we believe…” placard on her lawn but she also signs petitions to prevent multi-family dwellings and affordable housing from being developed in their neighborhood. She wears Land’s End Starfish casual knits very well.

PAM ANNUNZIATA, 40s, Proud Italian-American. Believes in being prepared. She’s got two emergency radios, 3 days worth of rations & duct tape in the basement. Wears Animal print dress and jewelry.

RENEE SHAPIRO-EPPS, 40s, Dated a woman after college, but now married to a nice Jewish man. Professionally successful, the only woman of color on the masthead of an interior design magazine. More open and forward thinking than the rest of the group, but also competitive. Prefers chic Eileen Fisher neutrals.

BETH WANN, 30s, Beth’s husband recently left her in a moment she never saw coming (but everyone else did.) She is reeling and not able to get on top of this new reality. Currently, she has no job and is considering selling the house, but she still wears whatever floral prints are in the front of her closet each day. She wants to be saved.

DIANE, the Incarnation of Dionysus, the Greek god. A butch charm factory, with that combination of swagger and stillness particular to masculine-of-center women. Powerful, wry, charming and very very immortal. A big lover of humans, one of the last Gods to care about us at all. May be a masculine person who does not identify as male. (Note: This role is already under contract. We are currently only casting the understudy.)
