SEEKING

Equity chorus dancers for DEATH BECOMES HER (see breakdown).

We are committed to inclusive and equitable casting for all roles in Death Becomes Her and are actively seeking people of all races, cultural backgrounds, abilities, and gender identities to audition. The breakdown refers to the characters as they are written in the Death Becomes Her script and are not meant to limit the actors we’re looking to cast in the roles.

PREPARATION

Please bring whatever footwear you feel most comfortable in, and appropriate dancewear that shows off your line. If asked to sing, please prepare 16-bars of a contemporary musical theatre song. Bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided. Please also bring a hardcopy headshot and resume.

SEEKING:

ENSEMBLE DANCERS: Strong dancer/singers, 20’s - 50’s, Contemporary movement. May play various featured ensemble roles including:

BRANDON – 20’s. Madeline’s ever faithful assistant. Gen Z attitude who is propping Madeline up by any means necessary.

CHIP BUZBY – 40’s. Madeline’s fast-talking, narcissistic, oblivious agent. He’s feared by everyone – but he fears Madeline.

SARA – 80’s. Ernest’s second wife. Sweet-looking, takes care of herself. Devoted to Ernest and the life they have together.

JANE –Ernest’s longtime nurse and confidant. 40’s. Sweet and supportive. She commiserates with Ernest over his downfall.

LUCIANO MILLIOTTI – A handsome opera singer. Rich tenor that rivals Pavarotti. F#3 to Ab4
