PREPARATION

Please prepare a monologue under two minutes that suggests the character you would like to play. Those auditioning for MURDER FOR TWO should be prepared to play the piano and sing. Also bring your headshot and resume stapled together. Always bring your Equity Membership card to auditions.

BREAKDOWN

Housing Notes: Housing is provided with every actor having a private room and shared spaces (living room, kitchen, restrooms). Cape May Stage supplies all bed linens and towels plus kitchen wares. The house is heated and air-conditioned with Wi‑Fi, washer/dryer, television, and a stipend for Uber to get into town and to/from the theater. No smoking at the company house; no pets permitted. Transportation from New York upon arrival will be reimbursed.

  • HEIDI – female, mid-40s, intelligent, an activist, great comic timing, improv background helpful; native of Wenatchee, Washington; of German descent.
  • LEGIONNAIRE – male, 35+, plays veteran from American Legion Post #10, Wenatchee, Washington (1989) plus contemporary gay friend, MIKE.
  • DEBATER – female high school student (about 15), strong, confident, verbal, intelligent; any ethnicity.

KALAMAZOO
