About this studio
Manhattan Youth Ballet (MYB) is a pre-professional ballet school in New York City, housed in an 18,000 square foot facility near Lincoln Center shared with the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center and the MMAC Theater. It traces its origins to Studio Maestro, founded in 1995 by Rose Caiola to provide training and facilities for dancers of all ages, and marked its 30th anniversary in 2025. Students are placed in graded levels by audition and work through a structured ballet and pointe syllabus taught by faculty drawn from professional companies. MYB says donations fund more than $250,000 in scholarships annually, bring in guest artists and support at least three performances a season, and an August summer intensive is offered.
