Houston Contemporary Dance Company is a 501(c)(3) non-profit repertory dance company at 1302 Houston Ave, Suite 300, Houston, Texas, now in its eighth season. Its stated mission is to ignite passion for contemporary dance through world-class professional repertory concert performances and community engagement activities accessible to all regardless of race, culture, sexual orientation, gender, gender variance or nationality. The company programs work by nationally acclaimed choreographers alongside up-and-coming performers, and states values of creativity, growth, curiosity and pluralism, seeing dance as a way to encourage social interaction and address underrepresented subject matter.
