Houston Ballet Foundation

Houston Ballet is a professional classical ballet company and nonprofit foundation performing at the Wortham Theater Center and headquartered in the Margaret Alkek Williams Center for Dance in downtown Houston. Its 2026-2027 season includes Manon, Madame Butterfly, The Rite of Spring, Swan Lake, Where's Alice?, Pecos Bill, the Margaret Alkek Williams Jubilee of Dance and The Nutcracker, with a sensory-friendly Nutcracker performance also offered. The organization tours nationally and internationally, and its second company, Houston Ballet II, tours separately. Training is delivered through Houston Ballet Academy, which runs year-round programs, summer intensive programs, and events and auditions, culminating in an Academy Spring Showcase. A separate Education and Community Engagement department runs school programming, adapted programming for students with disabilities, community programming, My First Ballet, Dance Talks, student matinees and behind-the-scenes events.
