Hedwig Dances is a contemporary dance theatre company in Chicago, founded and led by artistic director Jan Bartoszek and now marking 40 years of work. Its stated purpose is to create, perform and cultivate contemporary dance theatre within communities of audiences, dancers and artists, with the goal of provoking human connection and wonder. The company is artist-in-residence at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts at 1016 N Dearborn Street, where it presents seasons of new work such as NEXUS, alongside free public performances including an appearance at Navy Pier.
