About this studio
Conservatory of Dance is in its 20th season serving the Silver City area of New Mexico, under artistic director Melinda Shaner, who has taught dance for more than 40 years and holds a dance degree from the University of California, Riverside. The studio's stated goal is quality dance training for everyone in a non-competitive, family-friendly and nurturing environment, welcoming both recreational and intensive dancers. Classes run from 24 months through adult and are placed by ability rather than age alone, across Mini-Movers, Kidz, Dance-Mid and Dance-Senior groupings.
