Francisco Gella Dance Works Inc.

Francisco Gella Dance Works is a holistic pre-professional dance training organization built around the integrated teaching methodology of its founder, choreographer and educator Francisco Gella. Rather than running a year-round neighborhood studio, it delivers travelling intensives, workshops and camps taught by a faculty of working performing artists and choreographers, with programs organized around seven principles: ethos, artistry, intention, empowerment, direction, technique and restoration. Its stated distinction is spending as much time on a dancer's mindset as on technique, strength and artistry. Programming includes the Ballet+ intensives in Miami and Hawaii, Seattle Dance Advance, a New Year's Training Camp, the Junior Jam and Mini Mania intensives for younger dancers, the Preprofessional Dancer Institute, and the New Century Dance Project. It also offers college and career preparation workshops, individual consultations, one-to-one mentorship and private instruction for both students and parents, plus scholarships. Alumni have gone on to professional companies and to conservatory and university dance programs.
