Dance classes in Raleigh, North Carolina
City Ballet Raleigh was founded in 1991 by Sandra Zellinger and operates at 7440 Six Forks Road in North Raleigh, North Carolina. It provides classical training to young dancers whether they are pursuing professional goals or simply enjoying dance education. Since 2017 the school has followed the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum, a nine-level program combining artistic training with dancer health and child development. Classes run from preschool through adult in ballet, pointe, variations, modern, jazz, tap, hip hop and musical theatre. The school stages an annual Nutcracker, cast by audition, plus a spring recital, and performs at community events and the Festival of NC Dance. Summer camps and workshops run at several levels.
