Nan's School of Dance

Nan's School of Dance has been teaching in North Raleigh, North Carolina since 1975 and describes itself as a family-owned, family-focused studio approaching 50 years of dance education. It offers affordable classes for boys and girls from 18 months to 18 years, plus adult classes, grouped into Tots, Preschoolers, Elementary, Pre-Teen and Teens, Acro and Adults. Styles taught are tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, acrobatics and pre-dance, along with Mommy & Me classes for toddlers aged 18 months to 2.5 years and their caregivers. The dance year runs from mid-August to May, using only kid-friendly music, and ends in staged recitals; parents can watch classes from the lobby. A Competitive Company Team performs at local events and competes regionally. The studio also runs summer camps and classes and hosts dance birthday parties for ages 3 to 10. Free trial classes are offered September through January.
