About this studio
A Step to Gold Community Ballroom and Event Center, at 6021 Glenwood Avenue in the Oak Park Shopping Center, Raleigh, North Carolina, was founded in 2002 by owner and lead instructor Melanie Dale, who combines dance with a fitness and wellness approach. Dale studied ballet and jazz before building an extensive background in American and International ballroom styles, and also created Ballroom Dance Mentor, a virtual learning service. The studio serves adults, from social dancers to those competing in DanceSport, offering a beginners' basics course, group classes, private group lessons, wedding and first-dance lessons, guest nights, dance parties, a stretch and strengthen class and bungee fitness. The space is also available for venue rental.
