In this Pulitzer Prize winning play, Weller martin is playing solitaire on the porch of the retirement home he now lives in. Enter Fonsia Dorsey, a prim, self-righteous lady. They discover they both like to play Gin Rummy so they begin to play as they slowly reveal intimate details of their lives. Fonsia wins all the time to the dismay, to say the least, of Weller.
"A throughly entertaining lesson in the fine art of theatrical finesse. The closest thing the theatre has to a duel at ten paces." THE NEW YORK TIMES
