The Cincinnati Arts Association (CAA) has announced its 2012 Winter/Spring Season - five events that promise audiences of all ages unforgettable evenings of music, magic, and imagination. New Edgecliff Presents Regional Premiere of ST. NICHOLAS 2/23-3/10

New Edgecliff Theatre presents the regional premiere of Conor McPherson's "St. Nicholas". This chilling one-man show features NET Executive Director Michael Shooner and is directed by Brian Robertson. "St. Nicholas" will run in NET's newly-created major production slot, Feb. 23-March 10.
Know Theatre of Cincinnati Presents THE AFGHAN WOMEN'S WRITING PROJECT, 3/8-11

Know Theatre announces its next mainstage production, the Afghan Women's Writing Project (AWWP). Know Theatre commissioned playwrights Elizabeth Martin & Lauren Hynek to curate a performance piece from the writings available on the project website (www.awwproject.org). Ms. Martin & Ms. Hynek will also co-direct the piece. The staged reading will show March 8 - March 11, 2012. Following the Friday, March 9 performance, Executive Director Elizabeth Lehr of The Afghan Women's Writing Project will lead a post-show discussion.

Cincinnati Arts Association and Kenton County School District Chosen for Kennedy Center’s Partners in Education Program

In April 2012, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will host the 13th Partners in Education Institute. The four-day intensive is designed for arts organizations and school districts interested in partnering together to initiate or expand professional development programs for teachers. The Kennedy Center selected 12 teams of arts organizations and school systems from across the nation - including the Cincinnati Arts Association and Kenton County School District - to participate in the Partners in Education Institute, April 25-28, 2012.

Corbett Distinguished Chair of Musical Theatre, the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) Mainstage Musical Theatre Series continues its 2011-12 season with Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods. The award-winning pairing of new and existing fairy-tales with Sondheim's witty music and lyrics runs Feb. 23-26 and March 1-4 in Patricia Corbett Theater in CCM Village. Cincinnati Shakespeare Company (CSC) of Ohio was named the grand prize winner Jan. 31 of the LED Source® LEDko Challenge, and will receive a complete LED lighting makeover worth $20,000. CSC was chosen among dozens of staging, education, studio, installation, and theater professionals throughout North America who participated in the contest by submitting a video of their lackluster lighting systems to be considered for a complete LED lighting upgrade.
