Bump in the Night Theatre presents Hookman by Lauren Yee, directed by Garrett Michael McCann, running May 15–30 at Bramble Arts Loft. When freshman Lexi tries to uncover the truth about what happened to her high school best friend on a fateful car ride to the movies, she finds herself navigating grief, trauma, and a hook-handed serial killer with a taste for violence. This existential slasher comedy stars Valerie Martire, Madelyn Strasma, Ben Sanchez, Elizabeth Yang, Ava Pirie, and Anuoluwa Awolola. The production contains discussions of sexual abuse, death, and drunk driving, as well as violence, blood, darkness, and smoke.
