National Poetry Month Launches with Poetry Aloud at Ware Center, 4/4

The kickoff of National Poetry Month starts right here! Join us for the twice yearly literary event, this time featuring Jon Sands and Amanda Kemp. The open poetry session will be at the Ware Center, 42 North Prince Street, Lancaster, PA Friday, April 4th between 6 - 9 p.m. Jon Sands, Write Bloody poet from NYC, will be presenting a reading of his works. Sands is a recipient of the 2009 NYC-LouderARTS fellowship grant and has represented New York City multiple times at the National Poetry Slam and tours extensively, both nationally and internationally
First CapLive Pre-Show Party Set for 4/3

CapLive and the historic Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center in downtown York will host the first CapLive Pre-Show Party from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on April 3. The Pre-Show Party will happen at the Strand-Capitol prior to the 8:00 p.m. Lone Bellow performance in the Capitol Theatre.
Civic Theatre School to Present ANNIE JR., 4/10-12

Civic Theatre School (theatre by children, for children) will present 'Annie, Jr.' an adaptation of one of the world's best-loved and most-performed family musicals for four performances only, April 10-12 at Civic's historic Nineteenth Street Theatre. The cast of this production consists entirely of students from the Civic Theatre School. Tickets cost $18 for adults and $12 for students and children.

Based on the grocery store tabloid, Weekly World News, Bat Boy: The Musical is a B-movie themed musical comedy with an extraordinary score. The show is directed by Aaron Dalton with music direction by Nick Werner. Dalton was the director of the award winning CABARET that ran last March at YLT. CABARET won best musical in Central PA from BROADWAY WORLD.COM.
