Storyteller Garrison Keillor Coming to Hershey Theatre, 11/12

Master Storyteller and host of public radio's A Prairie Home Companion, Garrison Keillor will be at Hershey Theatre on Wednesday, November 12 at 8:00 p.m.

Tickets for this show are $45.00, $55.00 and $65.00 (tax and applicable fees apply and there is an eight-ticket limit) and are available at Hershey Theatre Box Office. They can be charged by phone at 717-534-3405 and online at www.HersheyEntertainment.com or www.TicketMaster.com.

Keillor went to work for Minnesota Public Radio in 1969, and on July 6, 1974, he hosted the first broadcast of A Prairie Home Companion in St. Paul. Over 17 million listeners on more than 900 public radio stations now hear the show each week.

His most recent role included playing himself in the movie adaptation of his show, A Prairie Home Companion (June 2006). Keillor is also the author of many books, including Lake Wobegon Days (1985); The Book of Guys (1993); The Old Man Who Loved Cheese (1996) and more.

Keillor has received numerous awards, including a Grammy Award for his recording of Lake Wobegon Days. He has also received two Cable ACE Awards and a George Foster Peabody Award.
