Hanover Little Theatre (HLT) will celebrate Christmas in July with the upcoming production of "Forever Plaid: Plaid Tidings." Tickets are now on sale for the musical comedy by Stuart Ross, which will close out HLT's 65th season.

Performances are 8 p.m. July 10-12 and 17-19 and 2 p.m. on July 13 at the theatre, 360 Blooming Grove Road (Route 216), Hanover. The July 10 opening night features a post-show reception sponsored by Rose's Pizza and Restaurant, McSherrystown. Tickets are $14 with discounts for seniors, students and groups of 10 or more. For tickets, visit www.HanoverLittleTheatre.com or call 717-637-5297.

The show marks the return of The Plaids, a group of four young, eager male singers, who were killed in a car crash in the 1950s on the way to their first big concert. HLT presented the original "Forever Plaid" show in 2000 and 2008 and now Jinx, Sparky, Frankie and Smudge return with the chance for another show, this time with a holiday slant.

A riotous version of "The Ed Sullivan Show" featuring the Rockettes, the Chipmunks and Vienna Boys Choir gets even funnier when the men in Plaid offer a Caribbean Christmas performance that puts the "Day-O" in Excelsis! The Plaids look to provide a little harmony into our crazy world and remind audiences that Christmas is less than six months away.
Directed by Sally Chase, the show stars Adam Bish, Duane Bull, Ian Kress, and Chad Zepp. Bull returns for his third performance as Jinx while his cast mates make their HLT debuts.

HLT is Hanover's only all-volunteer community theatre. For more information, visit www.hanoverlittletheatre.com or call 717-632-5297.
