Margi has built a reputation for authenticity and excellence on the New York jazz scene since 2012. As far back as she can remember, Margaret "Margi" Gianquinto, listened lovingly and felt a strong connection to music from America's Golden Age: from Tin Pan Alley, Broadway and Old Hollywood. She has a unique versatility...equally at home in a jazz club, cabaret room, playing for swing or ballroom dancers, singing two, three or four part harmony in a folk or jazz setting. Her sultry style, which many describe as "vintage," and "transportive" is reminiscent of an earlier era when those marvelous big band singers and gifted vocalists sang the music of Berlin, Gershwin, Porter, Arlen and Rodgers & Hart.
