For Better Or For Worse
Opposites attract when Wendy (Lisa Whelchel), a wedding coordinator, and Marco (Antonio Cupo), a divorce attorney, find their lives suddenly intertwined. Wendy is finally settling into the single life after struggling with the death of her husband. After a difficult season of grief, she's taken over the family business of coordinating the town's most beautiful and memorable weddings with the help of her friend and co-worker Roseanne (Kim Fields). Wendy's business and values are challenged, however, when the charming and incredibly irritating Marco opens shop as a divorce attorney right next to her wedding chapel. Although Wendy will stop at nothing to promote her marriage business over Marco's divorce business, she must form an alliance with Marco after her son Collin (Edward Ruttle) announces his unexpected engagement to Marco's daughter Sophia (Alicia Josipovic). As Wendy grows closer to Marco, she begins to realize that if she shields herself from the pain of love lost, she may prevent herself from experiencing true love in the future. Will Wendy open up to a second chance at love?

"For Better or For Worse" is based on the novel of the same name, by best-selling author Diann Hunt.

Review: EDUCATING RITA at Theatre on the Bay Provides an Intimate Slice of Life PhotoReview: EDUCATING RITA at Theatre on the Bay Provides an Intimate Slice of Life
by Jaime Uranovsky - July 13, 2023

EDUCATING RITA is one of my all-time favourite plays. Willy Russel’s rich script is a lush playground for the two actors lucky enough to inhabit his words. The story is not unlike PIGMALION or MY FAIR LADY in some ways: Rita, a young Liverpudlian woman, working as a hairdresser in the 1980s, seek...

Review: ALL BY MYSELF, VAULT Festival PhotoReview: ALL BY MYSELF, VAULT Festival
by Cindy Marcolina - February 10, 2023

It’s meant to be a satirical look at our obsession with our online personas versus the reality behind the screen, but - like everyone’s day-to-day life - it’s just a little too mundane. Bickel-Barlow succeeds in showing the fickleness, fakeness, and absolute inconsequence of social media, but ...
