On Tuesday, May 7, Cole Escola will stop by Late Night with Seth Meyers to talk about his Off-Broadway (and soon Broadway) hit play Oh, Mary. The program airs 12:35/11:35c on NBC. It was recently announced that the play, written by Cole Escola and directed by Sam Pinkleton, will transfer to Broadway this summer, following its sold-out, twice-extended world premiere run at the Lucille Lortel Theatre.

In a new interview with Andy Cohen, actor John Leguizamo discussed his working relationship with Ghost star Patrick Swayze on the set of the film To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar. After Cohen mentioned how highly people speak of Swayze, Leguizamo recalls a different experience on set, saying 'I love him. He was just neurotic and I'm not, you know, I'm neurotic too, but I don't know. He was just, it was difficult working with him.'

On Friday, The Today Show visited The Wiz on Broadway for a special behind-the-scenes look at the revival of the classic musical. In the interview, Wayne Brady, who plays The Wiz, talked about the formative experience of watching the 1978 film with Michael Jackson and Diana Ross. According to reports, Billy Magnussen, Sarah Gadon and Hamish Linklater are all set to join Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell in Sony's upcoming imaginative A Big Bold Beautiful Journey. Their roles in the film have not been confirmed and specific plot details have also been kept under wraps. The film is said to center on an emotional connection between two strangers, likely to be Robbie and Farrell.

tick, tick... BOOM! star Andrew Garfield and The Crown star Claire Foy will reunite in a new adaptation of the classic children's novels by Enid Blyton. In The Magic Faraway Tree, Garfield and Foy will play a couple, Tim and Polly respectively, who move their family to the remote English countryside. After their relocation, the children discover the magical 'Faraway Tree' that houses residents who live within its branches.

According to reports, The Music Man star Hugh Jackman will be appearing in a new reimagining of Robin Hood, alongside Jodie Comer. The film is said to be a darker take on the tale. Titled The Death of Robin Hood, the film sees an older Robin Hood looking back at his life of crime and murder. After an injury, he is taken in by an unknown woman who offers him a chance at salvation. The film is scheduled to begin production next February.

Netflix has released the date announcement and first look for season four of Emily In Paris, featuring Tony nominee Ashley Park. Part 1 of the new season will premiere on August 15, 2024, followed by Part 2 on September 12, 2024. In the date announcement video, the cast is asked to describe the new season in three words. “Chaotic,” “heartbreaking,” “adventurous,” “fashionable,” and “revenge' are among the answers given by the actors. 

Jonathan Groff, who is currently playing the role of Franklin Shepard in the Broadway revival of Merrily We Roll Along, visited Late Night with Seth Meyers on Thursday. This marks his first talk show appearance since receiving a Tony nomination for his performance in the musical. On Thursday, actress Hannah Waddingham joined The Today Show to discuss her role in the new comedy The Fall Guy with Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. In the film, she plays producer Gail Meyer, a character that Waddingham calls 'revolting'. 'She's very self-serving. The final guests for Season 49 of Saturday Night Live have been announced as Maya Rudolph and Jake Gyllenhall. Maya Rudolph will host “SNL” for the third time on May 11. The five-time Emmy Award winner currently stars in and executive produces the second season of Loot. Jake Gyllenhaal will host the May 18 season finale, returning as host for the third time. He makes his series debut as star and executive producer of “Presumed Innocent,” premiering June 12 on Apple TV+. 

Deadline has reported that Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas will appear in a new musical comedy from John Carney, director of Once and Sing Street. The film, titled Power Ballad, is said to tell 'the story of a wedding singer (Rudd), a rock star (Jonas), and the song that comes between them.' The musical, which is currently filming in Dublin, will hit the Cannes market this month.
