The first teaser for the upcoming Kate Winslet-led war drama Lee has just been released. The directorial feature from award-winning Cinematographer Ellen Kuras, Lee portrays a pivotal decade in the life of American war correspondent and photographer, Lee Miller (Kate Winslet). Watch the trailer here.

 Based on The New York Times bestselling novel of the same name by Scott Turow, the gripping series takes viewers on a journey through the horrific murder that upends the Chicago Prosecuting Attorney's office when chief deputy prosecutor Rusty Sabich (played by Gyllenhaal) is suspected of the crime. The series explores obsession, sex, politics, and the power and limits of love, as the accused fights to hold his family and marriage together. “Presumed Innocent” will make its global debut on Apple TV+, premiering the first two episodes on Wednesday, June 12 followed by a new episode every Wednesday through July 24.

Emmy award-winning filmmaker Ilana Trachtman's (Praying with Lior, Black in Latin America, The Pursuit) groundbreaking documentary feature film Ain't No Back to a Merry-Go-Round will make its World Premiere at the Maryland Film Festival on May 5th at 5:15pm. Seventeen years in the making, this insightful and powerful documentary unearths the pivotal 1960 Glen Echo Amusement Park protests - likely the first organized interracial civil rights demonstration in U.S. history. 

Olympic Highlights with Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson, the commentary series on Peacock hosted by comedians Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson, will bring their signature hilarious insights to recap the 2024 Olympics’ best and most unexpected moments throughout the Games. The 8-episode series will roll out with 2-3 episodes per week beginning July 26 on Peacock, the same day as the Opening Ceremony.

The HBO Original comedy series Fantasmas, created, directed, written, and starring Julio Torres (“Problemista,” HBO’s “Los Espookys”), will debut this June on HBO and will be available to stream on Max. In Fantasmas, Julio Torres tells the tale of when he lost a golden oyster. The people he encounters as he searches for it and the musings he has become points of departure for little films along the way, as Torres navigates weaving in and out of these introspective, often eerie comedic stories.

Apple TV+ has announced the premiere date for the first installment of its highly anticipated animated adventure trilogy “WondLa,” hailing from Skydance Animation and based on the New York Times bestselling book series “The Search for WondLa” by Tony DiTerlizzi. Showrun and executive produced by Bobs Gannaway, and featuring a star-studded voice cast, the seven-episode first season of “WondLa” will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on Friday, June 28.

Animation, “My Adventures with Superman” is a serialized coming-of-age story centered on twenty-somethings Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Jimmy Olsen as they discover who they are, together. Starring Jack Quaid as the voice of Superman/Clark Kent, Alice Lee as the voice of Lois Lane, and Ishmel Sahid as the voice of Jimmy Olsen. Netflix has announced new additions to the cast of Black Rabbit, the upcoming limited series starring Jude Law and Jason Bateman. Among those joining are Academy Award-winning actor Troy Kotsur, Robin De Jesus, Abbey Lee, and Odessa Young. The series follows the owner of a New York City hotspot (Law) who allows his turbulent brother (Bateman) back into his life and opens the door to escalating dangers that threaten to bring down everything he's built.

Missy Elliott, Grammy-Award-winning hip hop artist, has joined the new musical film from Pharrell Williams and Michel Gondry. Henry joins the previously announced Brian Tyree Henry, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Halle Bailey, and recent Oscar-winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph. Elliott has won four Grammy Awards in her career so far. In 2023, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, making her the first female rapper to achieve this honor.

A new guest has just been announced for John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s In LA. Richard Kind, comedian of the stage and screen, will appear as the announcer of the comedy special, which debuts on May 3. ​​​​​​​John Mulaney will explore the city of Los Angeles with his comedian friends in this upcoming Netflix special. Over the course of six live episodes, the comically unconventional show will feature Mulaney along with special guests and field pieces all shot in Los Angeles. 

The 28th annual American Black Film Festival (ABFF) has announced the Retrospective: Celebrating the Legacy of Denzel Washington program which will take place on Saturday, June 15. This year's “Retrospective” will take attendees on a journey through Academy Award-winning actor and director Denzel Washington's cinematic legacy, showcasing his extraordinary talent and enduring impact on the film industry.

In the new season, resolute Lazarus agent George (Paapa Essiedu) has been left in disgrace after betraying the organization in the name of love. He is determined to redeem himself and win back the trust of his friends, colleagues, and the love of his life. Disney Concerts, Marvel Studios and the Los Angeles Philharmonic are thrilled to announce the premiere of Marvel Studios’ Infinity Saga Concert Experience at the iconic Hollywood Bowl on Friday, August 30, and Saturday, August 31. This film concert event will transport audiences on a cinematic journey through the studio’s first 23 films, weaving together the legendary characters of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) into one story from an all-new perspective. 

This summer, the multi-platinum singer-songwriter begins a major touring run, kicking off August 1 in Columbus, OH and ending October 29 in Orlando, FL, with Special Guests Ray Bull, The Brook & The Bluff and The Paper Kites. Netflix has released first-look photos for the upcoming film Trigger Warning, an action thriller featuring Jessica Alba. Special Forces commando Parker (Alba) is on active duty overseas when she gets called back to her hometown with the tragic news that her father has suddenly died. Now the owner of the family bar, Parker reconnects with her former boyfriend-turned-sheriff Jesse (Mark Webber), his hot-tempered brother Elvis (Jake Weary) and their powerful father Senator Swann (Anthony Michael Hall), as she looks to understand what actually happened to her dad.

In Knuckles, Knuckles himself is introduced to ‘earth music’ through Wade Whipples’ ‘Wadejammerz’ mixed CDs. The Knuckles main title sequence is a nod to this memorable introduction and a nostalgic 90’s throwback, featuring markered animations of the film’s main characters which jump across the labels of the mixed CDs. In Faye, the first feature documentary of the Hollywood legend, Academy Award®-winning actress Faye Dunaway candidly discusses the triumphs and challenges of her illustrious career. In the 1960s, Dunaway worked on Broadway in several plays including A Man For All Seasons. The film is directed and produced by Laurent Bouzereau, who previously directed Natalie Wood: What Remains Behind.
